My name is Fabian Biesheuvel, living with my girlfriend, daughter, dog and cat in Apeldoorn, and working as a Senior DevOps Consultant for Delta-N in Den Haag, the Netherlands. When I finished my education in 2000 I started working in IT and I was able to perform in almost all the different IT roles you can imagine, from developer to IT manager. I quickly discovered that just doing some cool IT work didn’t make me happy enough, and I started reading about ALM, nowadays more known as DevOps, which I have been practicing ever since. A good day at the office for me is when I can make IT teams perform better or quicker. Principles like CI/CD and Scrum is what I use every day to achieve this. When I am working I am always in search of the ideal mix of the right tools en processes to use, starting with the people who need these on a daily basis. Good performing DevOps organizations often made smaller or bigger cultural transformations which I am supporting with my lifegoal: Planning for the future is important, but also do some cool stuff now!

The bridges we build need to be strong enough to hold honest conversations for change and transformation of technology in business. I am fortunate enough to be in an industry, where technology drives change and transformation opportunities across businesses. This enables me to be visionary. The journey of a CIO as a business leader requires strength, persistence, bravery, hard work, focus and forward thinking combined with the ability to strategise and create value.I personally believe in constantly learning, breaking through barriers, being solution minded and developing new ways to solve problems.
